The Beta Reckoning

When the World Ends, the West Marches Begin

Ashreach is in beta until August 1st. Until then, what you do and what you ask for both shape what comes after. Feedback can be anything: a new system, a small tweak, a whole corner of the world that doesn't exist yet. When the clock runs out the old world burns, every voice gets woven into the ash, and the true West Marches begins.

A World That Lives Between Sessions

Ashreach

The town you live in and head out from. Roughly 200 souls squatting in ruins nobody has fully named. Build it up, trade in its markets, and watch it grow on the back of everything players do here.

Ashen Hollow

The home region beyond the walls. A living world clock turns the hours, weather rolls in off the Ashfields, and threats escalate whether you're online or not.

Korrathûl

The wider realm: vast, scarred, mostly unwalked. The West Marches sprawl outward, and the map only fills in where parties actually go.

II · MythrOS

The Bot Runs the World For You

Automation first. Humans make the judgment calls. The bot does everything else.

Campfire Scenes

Sessions wrap themselves. Attendance, gold, loot, and feedback all get credited without a single GM click.

Professions & Crafting

37+ trades, daily skill-ups, and a real gear supply chain. Players gear players. No shortcuts.

Gold Economy

A slow, earned, WoW-vanilla grind. Sessions, professions, and trade feed one unified Gold currency.

Canon & Factions

Player-voted lore, NPC-driven reputation, and a rumor board that lives right in your channels.

World Clock & Weather

In-world time advances hourly. Weather off the inner ring affects your gathering. The world never sleeps.

Immersive Creation

"The Ash Remembers": a narrated walk into town down the Ash-Road. Everybody starts somewhere.

III · The Townsfolk

Who You'll Meet in Ashreach

The settlement runs on these people. They remember every face, and every debt.

IV · The Board

Whispers on the Rumor Board

Pinned outside the Ashpit. Some are nothing. Some are the start of everything.

Upcoming Sessions

West Marches style: the party forms around whoever musters. Sign up in Discord.

This board updates live from the bot, the same sessions posted in #5e-adventure. Sign up there to claim a slot.

How We Play

  • West Marches structure. No fixed party. Sign up, form a band, head out. The world is shared and the stakes are real.
  • OSR procedures over 5e math. Time, light, encumbrance, reaction & morale layered onto familiar 5e rules.
  • Max 5 to a session. Legacy characters can start higher; everyone earns their place at the table.
  • The world remembers. Town building, threat escalation, and an activity feed keep Ashreach alive between adventures.
